Asian-Inspired Steak Marinade

While ribeye is delicious on its own, I wanted to kick things up a notch before we threw it on the grill.  Pull out your food processor and give this a try the next time you want to add some flavor to your meat.  I realize the measurements are imprecise, but that is the beauty of a marinade – give it a quick taste test before you dump it on your meat and adjust flavors accordingly.  A warning: go easy on the sesame oil at first.  A little goes a looooong way.

Asian-Inspired Marinade
Note: this made enough for 1# of meat (2 half pound steaks) – adjust accordingly

  • 2 T. coconut aminos
  • Scant T. rice wine vinegar
  • dash sesame oil
  • pinch red pepper flakes
  • 1 clove garlic (peeled)
  • ~1″ piece ginger (peeled)
  1. Dump ingredients into food processor or blender.  Pulse/blend until smooth.  Taste test and add a little salt if desired.
  2. Pour onto meat and let sit 1 hour before cooking.
